Schedule
Arrive at McGee’s Swamp Tours (1337 Henderson Levee Rd. Henderson, LA 70517)
Set up camp to the far left of the parking lot (camping is primitive but there is a bathroom facility)
Dinner TBD….either on the way or Mr. Reddy's seafood recommendation
Saturday morning/afternoon
Breakfast and break down camp
Paddle trip (at your convenience)
Map and compass trail exploration with a trained paddle Guide
4, 6, and 8 mile trail options, depending on your desired experience
Lunch on the water
Usually finished around 3pm, paddle back to McGee’s
Use vehicles to move the Scouts and Troop gear to Houseboat Adventures (1399 Henderson Levee Rd. Henderson, LA 70517)
Meet the houseboat proprietor, load gear and Scouts onto the crew boat to be brought to the houseboats.
The houseboats have a full kitchen, as well as a barbecue pit. There is a small fridge for refrigeration but most Troops bring ice chests
Spend the rest of the day/evening fishing, exploring the area, and watching the sunset from the porch
Sunday morning
Fish from the porch, explore the area
Check out time is 12 noon
